MOVE WITH PURPOSE DANCE SCHOLARSHIPS

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Move With Purpose scholarships are given out based on financial need on a first come, first served basis. We are proud to have our scholarship guidelines reflect the the wages and cost of living of Santa Barbara County rather than state-wide or federal income brackets. This ensures that our high cost of living is taken into account for our local families who want the best for their family.

Move With Purpose offers scholarships in concert with our Studio Corporate Partners who invest in our community by matching our scholarship gifts. In 2025, we have THREE scholarship opportunities:

  • Summer Scholarships:

    • SUCCESS! Over 20k of scholarships awarded to local youth in 2024

    • 2025 SUMMER APPLICATION COMING FEBRUARY 12

  • Fall Team Scholarships: We inspire youth to MOVE WITH PURPOSE.  The youth leaders as SB Dance Arts came together to raise almost $10,000 for their peers to participate in teams that provide access to high-level pre-professional and intensive programming that has systemic and historic roadblocks for undeserved communities.  Please submit a Scholarship Interest Form.

  • Fall/Spring Scholarships & Bridge Scholarships Move With Purpose is here to fill gaps in the community offerings for dance scholarships with a  commitment to three corporate partners in 2024-25.

    • If you attend classes with our  founding partner SB Dance Arts, please follow the links at the top to apply.

    • If you are interested in financial assistance with a different Community Studio Corporate Partner, please see our application guidelines.

    • If you are interested in becoming a Community Studio Corporate partner, please email programs@movewithpurposesb.org

    • If you are interested in connecting with other organizations providing financial assistance, please email programs@movewithpurposesb.org so we can coordinate with these agencies and help you with a bridge scholarship application with MWP. Note, bridge scholarships are not guaranteed if another organization under-funds your request.
